Botox is done with a series of injections using an extremely fine needle. Dr. Ramin A. Medhat makes these injections into the muscle or nerve of the area that is being treated. Botox Treatment Process
Botox is a simple in office procedure. After Dr. Ramin A. Medhat has met with you, and evaluated your needs, we will discuss your treatment options. If Botox is the right choice for your situation, we can take care of it right away. The area will be cleaned, and depending on your needs we may apply a slight numbing lotion, but many patients find it unnecessary. Using a very fine needle, Dr. Ramin A. Medhat will make a series of small injections. The patient simply feels a slight pinch and the work is done. Some patients may experience some redness or localized swelling; this should pass quickly. Contact our office or seek immediate medical care if you experience anything unusual of concerning. For most patients, they will see a noticeable difference as their wrinkles smooth or disappear entirely over the next few days. The effects of the Botox can last up to 6 months, and some patients may note a positive difference long after that, due to retraining the muscles to be more relaxed.
